A wooden blind is a venetian in a warmer material. It tilts the same way and stacks the same way, but the slats carry visible grain, so the window stops reading as hardware and starts reading as part of the room's joinery. In a flat with wooden doors and furniture it is usually the only blind that looks like it belongs.
Two versions, and the difference matters more in Dhaka than in a dry climate. Natural wood is lighter, quieter and has genuine grain, but it must stay dry — a slat that gets rained on repeatedly will bow. Faux wood is a moulded composite with a printed grain: heavier, unbothered by humidity, and the sensible choice for a kitchen, a bathroom or any window that takes monsoon splash. Both come in 25mm and 50mm, and both can be motorised.
