What motorisation costs
Charged per window, on top of the fabric cost. It does not scale with window size.

When a motor is worth it
- Windows above a fixed sofa, a kitchen counter or a stairwell, where reaching a chain means moving furniture.
- Glass walls and window runs with four or more blinds, where one remote replaces four separate chains.
- Bedrooms with small children, because a motorised blind has no hanging cord at all.
- Meeting rooms and hotels, where a single control has to set every blind on a wall at once.
Power and load shedding
Rechargeable tubular motors need no new wiring — charge from a nearby socket every few months and they keep working during load shedding. Mains-powered motors need a point near the window, easiest arranged before the blinds go up. Either way the blind can still be operated by hand if the battery is flat.
