25mm Venetian Blind

The narrow slat. At 25mm the lines sit close together, which reads fine and precise, and — more usefully — gives finer control: small changes in tilt make small changes in light, so it is easier to land on exactly the setting you want.

Narrow slats also stack smaller and suit small windows, where a 50mm slat looks coarse and eats too much of the glass when raised.

Care and cleaning

Close the slats to a flat face and dust top to bottom, then reverse the tilt and repeat. Narrow slats hold dust in more places, so keep to a monthly rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

Do slatted blinds collect a lot of dust in Dhaka?
Yes, more than a flat roller blind does — a slatted blind has many more upward-facing surfaces. The fix is a routine, not a product: tilt the slats closed so they form a flat face, run a duster or a vacuum brush down them, then tilt the other way and repeat. Two minutes a window, once a month. Aluminium and PVC slats also take a damp cloth, which natural wood does not.
Do I measure inside the window frame or outside it?
Both are valid, and they give different results. An inside (reveal) mount looks tidier and keeps the sill usable, but a little light always escapes at the edges. An outside mount overlaps the frame by two to three inches on each side and is the only way to get a genuinely dark bedroom. Is there a minimum size I get charged for?
Yes. A very small blind costs nearly as much to make as a medium one — the same tube, brackets, chain and labour — so every piece is billed at a minimum area regardless of how small the window is. The calculator on each product page shows you the moment the minimum is applied and by how much, so nothing is hidden inside a total.
Which blinds survive Dhaka humidity and monsoon splash?
Anything that does not mind getting damp: PVC and aluminium slats, PVC vertical louvres, and polyester roller fabrics all wipe clean and do not swell. Natural wood is the one to keep away from a window that takes rain, because repeated wetting warps the slats — faux wood gives the same look without that risk. For a bathroom or an open balcony, PVC or aluminium is the safe answer.
